What’s it like to wear a removable denture?
At 20 years old, I may have to live with a removable denture from now on ……
23 years old, over-implanted, wearing a removable denture to take up space (I have slightly deeper alveolar bone, which is a condition where you can’t have immediate implants, you have to grow bone for 4-6 months). Upper right 6, wrapped around the gums of 3 other teeth in the front and back, worn for about two weeks now.
Daily wear and take daily after each meal to take off the rinse, there are a lot of food debris, every night to take off the soak. If you get used to it, you won’t find it troublesome, and you can make a habit of rinsing your mouth after eating, which makes you feel cleaner and more comfortable.
I encountered some small problems
- At the beginning of the week, the gums rubbed out two small ulcers, the doctor gave several times to adjust the problem.
- may be my more loose, chewing things will feel the deformation is relatively large, will top the inside of the gum cavity, chewing very dense lean meat is especially obvious, but it does not affect anything, anyway, I will wear at most half a year.
Feelings 1. Physical feelings I have seen a variety of options before only dental implants will be the same as the original teeth and the pressure to the bone, the other way is to spread the pressure to the side of the bite is not the same location of the force. After wearing a movable denture on the experience, chewing pressure will be transmitted to both sides of the gums and palate, but it does not hurt, the beginning of the feeling like a piece of gum sticking to the gums, to adapt to a period of time to get used to it.
- psychological feeling finally can use this side of the tooth to eat, or quite happy, before years have been accustomed to use the other side of the tooth, this tooth before the root canal treatment, the outer edge of the broken several times, the last doctor thought that I was soon to go to do porcelain crown, so simply do a beveled, and the results have been procrastinating not to do.
So I use the other side for chewing hard things, and my face is crooked, so now I can slowly adjust it.
