Q2: Why apply lubricant on the impression material before pouring plaster?A: A light coat of lubricant makes it much easier to release the plaster model later. This step ensures a smooth removal without harming the impression.
Q3: Why is it so important to watch the video?A: The video is your best guide, especially if you’re new to this. Following it step-by-step ensures you achieve the best results.
Q4: Why should the impression material’s temperature be above 70°F?A: Temperatures below 70°F can hinder proper setting of the impression, leading to errors. In colder weather, keep the impression in an environment above 70°F for 1-2 hours.
Q5: Why does the shape of the base change during cooling after the teeth are installed?A: This often happens in cooler weather. We recommend placing the denture and the plaster model together in water to cool, so you don’t have to remove the denture for a more consistent shape.
